The proposal is an American romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock in a film that was based on a story written by Pete Chiarelli under the direction of Anne Fletcher. The film was produced under Mandeville Films studios and was distributed under Touchstone Pictures. It earned a total gross income of $317,375,031 worldwide from a budget of $40million making it one of the most successful romance comedy box office hit of 2009.
The plot of the film centred on an executive edition in chief of a well known book publishing company named Margaret Tate who was disliked by her subordinates because of being a cold hearted person. Margaret later on learns that she was about to be deported because of her expired visa and with the fear of loosing her job to her associate editor in chief that she just fired earlier, she went into a plan of having Andrew Paxton, her executive assistant for 3 years, to marry her in order for her not to be deported. Having no choice but to agree in Margaret’s plan, Andrew brought her in his hometown where they discovered something that they never thought would ever happen.
