Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a 2009 computer animated film and the third sequel to the animated film series of Ice Age. Based from the plot written by Michael Berg, Peter Ackerman, Mike Reiss, and Yoni Brenner, Ice Age 3 earned a box office hit standing third of the highest grossed income film of all time next to Toy Story 3 and Shrek 2. The film was created under Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation and was distributed by 20th Century Fox Animation.
The plot of the film centred in the same Paleolithical friends – Manfred, Sid, and Diego. In this sequel, Manfred was expecting to have a baby with his wife Ellie, Diego was already having a hard time doing his hunt because he was not able to do that more often since he was living with Manfred and Sid. On the other hand, Sid found three eggs which were surprisingly from a T-rex! The mother T-rex then takes Sid back into her place because her babies do not want to go with her and was thinking that Sid was their real mom. Manfred together with Diego and Ellie went after Sid to take him back.
Despite receiving a mix critical response from critics, the film earned a total gross revenue of $886,686,817 from the budget of $90 million.
