Machete is a 2010 action film based on the story line written by Robert Rodriguez and Alvaro Rodriquez. which stars Danny Trejo as Machete. It was directed by Robert Rodriquez and Ethan Maniquiz under the production of Overnight Films and Troublemaker Studios and was distributed by 20th Century Fox.
It compose of a cast ensemble which includes Danny Trejo as Machete Cortez, Robert De Niro as Senator John McLaughlin, Jessica Alba as Sartana Rivera, Michelle Rodriguez as Luz/Shé, Lindsay Lohan as April Booth/The Sister, Jeff Fahey as Michael Booth, and Cheech Marin as Padre, Machete's brother.

It garnered from mixed to positive reviews from the critics and was also commented that “Machete is messy, violent, shallow, and tasteless – and that’s precisely the point of one of the summer’s most cartoonishly enjoyable films”.
