TMNT

TMNT or more popularly known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4, is a superhero action adventure film that was based from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise by Kevin Eastmen and Peter Laired. The film was directed by Keven Munroe under the distribution of The Weinstein Company and Warner Brothers Pictures.

It is the first of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise that was actually made with Computer Generated imagery or CGI. All the previous films under the franchise was created in live-action.

The plot of the film centred during the tome where the Turtles were already growing apart after their defeat of The Shredder. Weird thing started to happen again in New York City when an Army of ancient creatures threatens to take over the world. The Turtles were then tasked to unite again in order to save the world.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles received mainly positive feedbacks from the critics all over the world and earned a box office of $95,608,995 gross income worldwide from the budget of $34 million.

Takers is a action crime film that was based from the story written by Gabriel Casseus, Peter Allen, and
John Rogers under the direction of John Luessenhop. Formerly known as Bone Deep, Takers composed of the main cast ensemble including Matt Dillon as Jack Welles, Paul Walker as John Rahway, Idris Elba as Gordon Thomas "G" Cozier (credited as "Gordon Jennings"), Jay Hernandez as Eddie "Hatch" Hatcher, Michael Ealy as Jake Attica, Tip "T.I." Harris as Delonte "Ghost" Rivers, Chris Brown as Jesse Attica, Hayden Christensen as A.J., Steve Harris as Lt. Carver, and Johnathan Schaech as Scott.

The film was somewhat closely alike to the successful 2003 film “Italian Job”, and is also packed with breath taking action.

Rainforest Films and Grand Hustle Films were the production studios who created the film. It earned its box office hit with the total gross revenue of $70,587,268 from the budget of $32 million under the distribution of Screen Gems.

Orphan

The Orphan is a 2009 child-psychological thriller that was based from the story written by Alex Mace and was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film was created under the production studios of Dark Castle Entertainment and Appian Way Productions. It earned its box office hit with a total gross revenue of $78,337,373 under the distribution of Warner Brothers for United States, Optimum Releasing for United Kingdom, StudioCanal for France, and Village Roadshow for Australia.

The plot of the film focused on a 9-year old girl named Ester that was adopted by the Coleman couple from the local orphanage. At first Ester seemed to be a really sweet and well-mannered young girl, however as time passes Kate Coleman, John Coleman’s wife, became suspicious of her because she somehow acts oddly than any other regular 9-year old girl. It also triggered Kate more to dig in information about Ester when weird things started to happened around the people who gets involved with Ester.

Jumper

Jumper is a 2008 science-fiction action film that was lightly based from the 1992 fiction novel of Steven Cloud titled “Jumper”. Doug Liman directed the film under the production studios of Regency Enterprises and New Regency Productions. It earned its box office hit with the total gross revenue of $222,231,186 from the budget of $85 million and was distributed under 20th Century Fox.

The plot of the film focused on people who had supernatural gifts of teleportation and is modernly called “Jumpers”. David was 15 years old when he accidentally discovered his gift of teleportation during a freak accident. Later on, after many years of enjoying his supernatural gift, he encountered a group of people called “Paladins” who were tracking and killing “Jumpers” which they considered as abominations.

Alvin and the Chipmucks

Alvin and the Chipmucks is a 2007 comedy film that stars animated figures of Chipmucks. The fim was based from the animated series of the same title and by characters created by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. and

Janice Karman. The film was directed by Tim Hill under the production studios of 20th Century Fox, Regency Enterprises, and Bagdasarian Productions. It successfully earned its box office hit with the total gross revenue of $361,336,633 from the budget of $60 million and was distributed by 20th Century Fox worldwide.

The comedy film focused on three chipmucks Alvin, Simon, and Theodore who lived in a tree that was cut down for Christmas and was brought to Los Angeles. Upon arriving in L.A., the chipmucks met the struggling song writer David Seville who had just got his latest written song rejected by a Recording company owned by his former college roommate Ian Hawke. David or “Dave” then discovered that the chipmucks has the talent of singing and thus made a deal with them that he’ll provide them food and shelter for as long as they sing the songs he writes for them.

The main characters in the film were voiced by Justin Long (Ross Bagdasarian, Jr., singing) as Alvin, Matthew Gray Gubler (Steve Vining, singing) as Simon, and Jesse McCartney (Janice Karman, singing) as Theodore. Other supporting casts were Jason Lee as David Seville, David Cross as Ian Hawke, Cameron Richardson as Claire Wilson, Jane Lynch as Gail, Beth Riesgraf as Mother in Store, Adriane Lenox as Vet, and Frank Maharajh as Barry.

Twilight

Twilight is box office American Vampire romance thriller film that was based from the novel titled Twilight that was written by Stephenie Meyer. The vampire-fantasy film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and was distributed under Summit Entertainment. It gained its box office hit by earning a total gross revenue of $392,563,465 from the budget of $37 million.

The plot of the film is about a 17-year old Isabella Marie “Bella” Swan who fell passionately inlove with a 108-year old vampire named Edward Cullen.

Twilight is basically the first instalment of the 4-part sequel of the film based on the Twilight Series by author Stephenie Meyer. It composed of the main characters which were portrayed by Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. The secondary casts were Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale, Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. The main antagonists of the film were portrayed by Cam Gigandet as James, Rachelle Lefèvre as Victoria, and Edi Gathegi as Laurent.

The film earned a tremendously positive response from the fans, however, it received mixed to negative review from the critics despite earning a box office hit.

The Blindside earned numerous awards and nominations including Best Picture, Best Sports Movie, Favorite Drama Movie, and Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Best Actress, Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, Favorite Movie Actress, Movie Actress – Drama, for Sandra Bullock.
