Planet 51 is an animated scientific fiction film that was released in 2009 under the direction of Jorge Blanco and was co-directed by Javier Abad and Marcos MartÃnez. It was created under the production studio of Ilion Animation Studios and HandMade Films and was distributed by TriStar Pictures (USA), DeA Planeta (Spain), Entertainment Film Distributors (UK), and Alliance Films (Canada).
The plot of the film focused on an American Astronaut named Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker who lands in Planet 51. He thought that he was the first to set foot on the said planet but to his surprise, he discovered that there are already inhabitants in Planet 51 and the only fear of those who live in that planet is if they will be invaded by aliens such as Captain Baker himself!
The animated film composed of a main cast ensemble including Dwayne Johnson as captain Charles “Chuck” Baker, Jessica Biel as Neera, Justin Long as Lem, Gary Oldman as General Grawl, Seann William Scott as Skiff, and John Cleese as Professor Kipple.
